Science class on thusday

Science class on thusday

On Thursday we had very cool lesson. For that day we had to do some homework for Ms.D. The homework were questions about DNA, Heredity, Chromosomes and all that science stuff I think all of the class did it. For do that questions we had a website on the Internet that talk about all the stuff that we need for do the question. We started to talk about the question and everybody were ready to answer . The packet that we had was made of three pages of questions about all topics. It was a little log because the pages were in the front and in the back. It was fun to talk about all of that things that we have in our body. Sometime someone come up with some crazy question like : can we make a brain: and Ms.D start to explain the topic. Ms.D talk about one website about scientist that make crazy things. That website is called TED and we had it on Moodle for homework to watch the speech James Watson and the website is the following (http://www.ted.com/talks/lang/eng/james_watson_on_how_he_discovered_dna.html). James Watson is a old scientist that discover the structure of the DNA and he was the most important scientist in the 20th. After the questions of the tour of basics Ms.D gave to us a paper because we had to do a lab. That lab consist to make the DNA. Not with chemicals things but with candy. The class of the lab was the best class ever because when we finished the DNA we ate all the candy.
This is for everyone. Remember to do the comment and the reflection post and remember to look up at Moodle (http://zagreb.ceesa.net/course/view.php?id=189)

  1. Hi David!

The first look at your Blog seems very unorganized and confusing and short. There are also no pictures and not even a working link! I know that there wasn't a lot to talk about in this class, but you definitely could have talked a lot more about the science and not how cool the lesson was. All you have about the science is the DNA, chromosomes and heredity which was homework. So overall there wasn't really anything which was supposed to be there and your grammar/spelling could be better too. I don't think you did your best and might but a little more effort in it next time!

  2. Hello Davide,

Good job on your first post, It is great that you included links, however you could of hyper linked them. I think you have several spelling and grammar mistakes. Another thing you could have done is talk about the heredity and DNA things a bit more, you could have included a definition of them and a bit more information. You also should have said "scribe post" and something like "DNA and Heredity" at the labels. It is also great that you talked about James Watson and our lab. You could have also included some pictures and have a little font variation, but overall your post is ok.

    All the best,

    Cip

  3. Davide - Not bad in some areas and others need a bit of work on your first post. First off your spelling looks great. You do have some grammatical errors throughout the writing, but yahoo for the spelling. However, your font is all the same color and there really isn't any formatting to help the reader follow what you have covered. You really have not gone into any depth about the science and have not explained or defined any of the information we went over like chromosomes, DNA, heredity, traits, genes, etc. Plus you have no pictures to aid your reader and your explanation of James Watson is a bit too brief and un-scientific. I am happy you put in links to Moodle and the TED Talk of James Watson, but those links should be hyperlinked. Finally, you have not labeled the post correctly. In the future you need to pay closer attention to the directions of this type of assignment and put in a bit more effort on how it looks and readability of the piece for your reader. ~Ms. D.

  4. Hi Davide, this is an OK post. You could've read the reflection posts posted so far and seen what you should include; you need pictures, hyperlinked links, 3 labels in total, etc. Also, when you say "Thusday" do you mean Thursday or Tuesday? You could have said what we answered about the questions, and what heredity, chromosomes, etc. are, and you could have explained what the different candies represent. I know that Ms. D took pictures of our candies, you could've asked for the pictrues and included in the post. Your grammar needs work but other than that, the post was quite detailed. I liked your post overall! Nice job!
